Average airport in Japan. That still means very clean and safe place. Also lots of shops, souvenir shops (mainly food) and conveniences.

Small airport and about 45 minutes away by airport bus from Hiroshima city. Mainly serving domestic routes and just a few international destinations. Surprisingly there are many restaurants and shops inside.

there is NOT 24 hrs operation, so night time you can't stay at the airport.
It is the second floor. There is a simulation device on the left side of the ticket vending machine in front of it and it is D on the right back.
The airport is small and efficient. We can arrive up to 30 minutes before the flight without luggage and 40min / 1h00 with luggage to register.
I have never heard of a good restaurant on that side, but how about "Restaurant Aceero" in Hiroshima Airport Hotel, which is located just outside Hiroshima Airport?
